Established in Melbourne in 1996, Coy Yiontis is a highly awarded architectural practice recognised within the industry for its rigorous approach. Thoughtful and meticulous, this approach is defined by experience and knowledge reflecting 30 years of architecture across residential, retail, commercial and institutional projects in Australia and abroad.

Intelligent, crafted responses form the core ethos of the practice, while a deep understanding of space planning, detailing, light and materials facilitate the creation of environments that are seamless in both function and aesthetic. The ability to creatively problem-solve and a thorough knowledge of construction methods combined with an active pursuit of new technologies and materials informs all projects. A considered team approach is fostered both in-studio and with the client. This and a solid reputation with local authorities, consultants and builders ensures constructive and respectful collaboration enabling the delivery of outstanding projects, regardless of scale.

Our architecture serves not only the practical requirements of the brief but assumes a responsibility to the wider community. We aspire to create affordable housing and built diversity and feel very strongly that as architects, it is our responsibility to contribute to a much better designed environment for all sectors of the community on both an environmental and socially responsible level and are constantly pursuing opportunities to realise these goals.

Senior Team

Coy Yiontis Architects has in position an office structure that allows it to deliver  most scales of project. Our core staff have a broad range of experience in projects of diverse size and type. Through its network of contractors we adapt to suit the requirements of a given project. The Directors, as the principal designers, are directly involved in every project that is entrusted to the Practice.
